The Camera Collection

The museum focuses on the most iconic cameras of the industrial age, from the late 19th century to the mid-80s.

Thousands of remarkable cameras were made in that period; we display only 99, leaving out early photographic chambers and digital cameras. Each is chosen for its groundbreaking innovation, distinctive design or iconic status.

This lets visitors follow the story of analog photography through its key milestones without feeling overwhelmed. We keep looking for rare and significant cameras: each new addition replaces an existing piece, so the collection always counts exactly 99.
