In 2024, iconic photographer Philippe Shangti was invited to create an exclusive artwork to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Studio Harcourt. Conceived as a landmark piece, the artwork reflects both the heritage of the studio and the evolution of photographic expression across generations.

This unique composition is an tribute to 90 years of portrait, brought together in a carefully staged scene inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. Through this reference, Shangti explores themes of transmission, dialogue, and coexistence, inviting viewers to reflect on the continuity of artistic vision beyond time or convention.
The artist also envisioned the photograph as a living witness to 90 years of photographic history. To reinforce this idea, he requested the presence of a selection of the most iconic cameras from each era, objects that have shaped the way images are created, captured, and remembered.
The cameras in our collection had the privilege of participating in this exceptional moment, sharing the frame with the artist and his models. Together, they form a powerful dialogue between past and present, celebrating not only an anniversary, but the enduring legacy of photography itself.
