Luxury Dinner by Philippe Shangti
In 2024, photographer Philippe Shangti was invited to create an exclusive artwork for the 90th anniversary of Studio Harcourt: a landmark piece reflecting both the studio’s heritage and the evolution of photography across generations.
A tribute to 90 years of portraiture, the scene is staged after Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. Through this reference, Shangti explores transmission, dialogue and coexistence, and the continuity of artistic vision across time.
To make the photograph a living witness to 90 years of photographic history, he asked for some of the most iconic cameras of each era to appear in it.
The cameras of our collection had the privilege of sharing the frame with the artist and his models — a dialogue between past and present that celebrates the enduring legacy of photography.
